One of several very short pieces for solo instruments composed during the COVID-19 pandemic, this work was commissioned by Paul Fleming was premiered by him at the first ‘Musical Sculpture Garden’ event sponsored by reNew Ensemble at the Wilbur D. May Arboretum in June 2021.

It is a tribute both to our medical workers and to those who fell prey to COVID-19, some of whom survived while others did not.
