On March 25, Palm Sunday, organist Dr. Philip Manwell offered his second performance of  ‘The Scarlet Window’ in a 4pm recital of all 20th and 21st century works at St. Mary’s Cathedral in downtown San Francisco. The crispness and delicacy of his playing was impressive, as he coaxed many beautiful layers of color from the instrument.
